OOC RULESNO AGEPLAYYouth avatars are not allowed in the sim, and all characters must be, look, and act over 18. We recognize this may sometimes be subjective, and in cases of uncertainty base our decisions on the same objective factors as Linden Lab: "including whether an avatar has childlike facial features, is child-sized, has clothing or accessories generally associated with children, and whether, based on the circumstances, an avatar is speaking or acting like a child ("My Mommy says...").
For the purposes of this sim, the minimum height for most humans and humanoid creatures (furries or any other avatars that stands on 2 legs) is 5 feet (1.524 meters).
Adult fairies (generally referring to the popular "petite" line of avatars which are 2 feet/.6 meters tall) are allowed as exceptions to the height requirement, as are non-humanoid animals. Other exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for avatars that clearly could not be mistaken for underage humanoids (such as dwarves with well-developed facial hair).
Also see Linden Lab's policy:
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Clarification_of_policy_disallowing_ageplay***The final implication of the height rule is that humanoid avatars may be two feet (0.6 meters) or less in height, or 5 feet (1.524 meters) or more in height, but no where in between unless a special exception is granted by an HH admin PRIOR to that avatar exiting the sim landing point (dock).
BE NICE (DON'T GRIEF)Intentionally doing anything that substantially harms the performance of the simulator or interferes in the ability of the participants to enjoy roleplaying here will result in immediate ejection and possible banishment and abuse reporting.
OOC threats and bullying will not be tolerated.
Please do not come here if your only intention is to harass people or be confrontational.
DON'T SPAMThis includes visual, textual, and audio spam. Don't "shout," play obnoxious or loud sounds and gestures, or trigger excessive particle effects, and don't advertise, beg for L$, or offer or attempt to solicit money for sex ("escorting").
KEEP OOC CHAT TO A MINIMUMIf at all possible, OOC conversations should be held in IMs rather than local chat. If OOC messages need to be posted in local chat for RP reasons, keep them to a minimum so they don't overwhelm the roleplay.
WATCH YOUR PRIMSYou may rez objects temporarily if they are essential to RP and of a reasonable size, but do not use the sim as a building sandbox or leave prims lying around after a scene. If you use school equipment that generates poseballs and it has a "stop" option, use that when you're done.
DON'T BARGE INTO PRIVATE ROOMSHouses and apartments in the town are private rented residences, and may not be entered without permission under any circumstances.
Please refer to the Roleplay Guidelines for more information on when interruptions may be considered inappropriate.
Additionally, a limited number of rooms in the sim may be used privately on a first-come first-serve basis -- this means if the room's occupied, you should assume the door is "locked" and must get OOC permission before entering. These rooms are:
-Dorm rooms (upstairs areas for classes A, B, C, D and E)
-The staff bedroom/bathroom (on the right as you enter the room labeled "Staff Office")
-Secret room (behind the librarian's desk)
-Janitor's work-room
-Maid office
-Miko dorm rooms (South eastern corner of sim in the "Shrine Administration building")
-Secret cave (between the forest and beach)
*Special note about the "Hedge Maze" area:
This area is parceled off for privacy, and all scenes in this area are considered private. You may not enter RP with two or more people in the hedge maze without their express permission (this means if you happen upon a scene in progress in the maze, you leave the participants alone and saw nothing IC unless you are invited into the scene).
SPECIAL ABILITIES, POWERS, SPELLS, AND ITEMS MUST BE APPROVEDAny weapons more powerful than claws or a small knife, extraordinary skills, superhuman strength, speed, senses, or anything with magical, psionic or any other supernatural abilities must be listed on a character sheet on our website. If you don't have a character sheet, or if your abilities have not yet been approved, you may only use abilities or items that an average 18 year old human would have.
And always remember: we're a school, and students are students for a reason! You shouldn't be a master of anything -- you should be at the school to learn. In fact, though we don't want people constantly pulling new abilities out of nowhere, character development is not only encouraged, but expected, so it's very likely that in the course of RP (particularly through classes) you'll develop new abilities. Just be sure to add any new abilities you learn to your character sheet (and get them approved).
One-off abilities that won't be used consistently (like casting a spell through a complicated magical ritual) may be used in a scene as long as all the other participants are OK with it -- but if you want to keep using the ability outside of that scene, it must be added to and approved on your character sheet. Keep in mind that undocumented abilities should be used very rarely, and they should never stretch things too far from your original character concept. Improvised abilities may also not be used in competitive situations, like fights.
And remember: this sim is not based on DBZ or Naruto or any of those other shonen anime where characters have massive epic powers like blowing up the world. Even the most powerful character in our sim is very limited, relatively speaking.
The bottom line is: If in doubt whether or not you may use an ability, get it on your sheet and approved by a GM/Admin.
USE COMMON SENSEWhile we've attempted to cover as much as possible with these rules, please remember that this is a private sim and visiting is a privilege, not a right. If you find some creative way to cause problems that we've missed, that privilege may be revoked.
